Setting up auto login after Suspend - n1ksn - 01-22-2016

I've decided I don't need a passworded login for my laptop.  The LL "Enable Autologin" did not work (it gave me an error message), but I found on this forum a fix involving creating a lightdm.conf file.  So now I don't need a password on startup.

However, I still need a password when coming out of Suspend.  How can I return from Suspend without a password?  I searched the LL Forum, but could not find any info.  Is this an entry in some menu, or will another configuation file need to be created or edited?

Thanks,

Try looking at Power Manager (XFCE) typing power on menu should find it.
Under extended there is a check box for:
Lock Screen when going for Suspend/Hibernate...

Its the XFCE lock - so it will look slightly different than the default - at boot...
Light Locker also has settings (find same way)... But Light Locker can give grief on some systems (like mine)... Where you get a black screen returning from suspend...

Thanks for your quick reply, firenice03.

That xfce power manager checkbox was already unchecked on my setup.  However, turning off the Light Locker locking switch did the trick.  The first time I tried it I forgot to push the Apply button and there was no change.  But on the second try I pushed Apply, and that did the trick.

Thanks again for your help.
