Mouse Double Click Speed - Coastie - 12-15-2016 (Sorry if this is already been answered. ![]() Every since I start messing with my Android tablet using a stylist, I seem to have a lead index finger on the mouse on my desktop computer. Ever since way back when I started using a computer, I have played solitaire but it is not helping now. I don't understand the setting in XFCE for Mouse & Touchpad. Where should I set the Device and Behavior to decrease the sensitivity? Re: Mouse Double Click Speed - JmaCWQ - 12-16-2016 I would try Menu > Settings > Mouse and Touchpad, on the Devices tab down the bottom under Pointer Speed try adjusting the Sensitivity slider. Re: Mouse Double Click Speed - Coastie - 12-16-2016 That is part of what is confusing. Do I want to increase or decrease the number of pixels? :-\ Re: Mouse Double Click Speed - JmaCWQ - 12-17-2016 I don't know Coastie, I'm not 100% sure I understand what you're trying to achieve. Moving the Sensitivity slider all the way to the right (30px) slows the pointer down unless I move it really fast, I think because it now has to move 30 pixels instead of the default 4 pixels before acceleration occurs. I guess you could also try moving the Acceleration slider all the way to the left if you're wanting to slow the pointer movement down a little. Is that what you're after? Or by sensitivity do you mean adjusting touchpad sensitivity, mouse button sensitivity or screen tap pressure sensitivity so more effort is required during the tap/click process to make it work? I have no idea how to do the latter, though quick websearching of 'linux change touchpad sensitivity' gives results for Linux Mint & a few others, possibly in those results will be a solution? Thanks. That made me think clearer what to search for. The problem was double click speed not mouse sensitivity. I did a duckduckgo search again this time for "XFCE mouse click registering twice." I found http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-settings/mouse. I reset all sliders to default except for Double Click time to 485 ms which seems to have solved problem. ![]() Being able to discuss a problem either on a forum or verbally certainly help figuring out problems. ;D Re: Mouse Double Click Speed - JmaCWQ - 12-18-2016 (12-17-2016, 10:57 PM)Coastie link Wrote: Thanks.
