Re: Fujitsu laptop cant detect TP Link wireless adapter - firenice03 - 05-03-2017 If Torreydales doesn't work out... Try posting the output of: Code: inxi -Fxz It should list your hardware - specifically the wireless device, version and driver... Its probably a RTLXXXX -- once confirmed the correct driver can be pinpointed.. ![]() I would make a SystemBack back up - should testing/trying drivers not yield the preferred results you can easily revert back... UPDATE -- So not an RTL ![]() http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/TL-WN722N_V2.html#Driver https://www.quora.com/Will-a-TP-Link-WN722N-work-with-Ubuntu-16-04-without-needing-to-install-the-driver https://erickcion.wordpress.com/2012/05/08/linux-installer-for-tp-link-tl-wn722n-usb-wifi-antenna/ Re: Fujitsu laptop cant detect TP Link wireless adapter - newtusmaximus - 05-04-2017 It would be interesting to check again whether your onboard wifi unit is truly dead. On our family Fuji laptops (both of a similar vintage to yours) , the onboard wifis were always temperamental with Windoze However on converting to linux ( including other flavours as well as LL), the onboard wifiis were usable reliable but needed a bit of patience to set up. Might be worth a try?? |
