Request for a return of an old Linux Lite feature - Ottawagrant - 07-09-2017
In Linux Lite series 1 as soon as you put in the cd/dvd & booted from it the last choice on the screen was 'Install this distribution permanently' (or words thereabout). So you didn't have to boot into a live environment if you don't want to. You could start the installation right away. I'm asking this for two reasons. The first has to do with new major releases. IE: LL 4.0, 5.0, etc. You can't upgrade from an older version, you have to install fresh. Second, booting to a live environment in a lower power computer (ex: netbook) can be a slow experience, especially if your intention is to install it, not check it out. This was a good feature & I hope it can be considered for a return. Quite usefull for fresh re-installs too. Hope this is a good suggestion.

I stopped doing this because the themeing was inconsistent. It's worth considering again, let me think about it more.
