How do I show a YouTube link, without the video's cover appearing in a post? - m654321 - 07-10-2017

Whenever I put a YouTube link on a post, the Youtube video's 'cover' appears.  How can I stop this happening and just show the link for people to click on should they wish?

Thanks for your help.

Try copying it to a text file first.

I tried url tags in this thread it shows the video, you could remove one of the http using a * , until a better solution is posted by someone.

Hello m654321

What Bitsnpcs said will work, here's an example:

Big Buck Bunny
h**ps://youtu.be/YE7VzlLtp-4

and if you like you can include a note in the post that the "h**ps" must be changed to "https".

Yes, never thought of that, LOL.
The only thing is, is that someone might not notice the two asterisks and curse me for making a mistake in the URL ...
I'll give it a go ...

I think this part that I mentioned in the previous post may help that issue?
