Samsung Laserjet Printer/Scanner - Printer works, no Scanner - lintek - 09-04-2019

I did a little bit of searching, but I am still a newb and and I'm having trouble figuring out how to install the software for this (Samsung M2875DW) Printer Scanner.

I downloaded and installed this file from the HP website - uld_V1.00.39_01.17.tar.gz

It appears to have installed successfully but I do not see it listed under programs, and not sure what I should be looking for now.

?

Try this driver - https://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/driver/UnifiedLinuxDriver-1.00.36.tar.gz (remove other driver first)

Sorry to be so dim, but how do I remove the first driver?

Just refer to your existing download, I'm sure it has uninstall files to use.

Ok - installed recommended drivers.

I can scan using Simple-scan and gscan2pdf. But when I hit the scan button on the scanner, it won't connect to the computer and scan by that method.  I even tried it with the firewall off thinking that might be it, but no luck.

Yeah, your scan button probably won't work on Linux. No biggie as both are now working. Please set as Solved.
