Hi Silentdim13

Hello!

Hopefully, by the time everyone responds, we'll have more than 10 things, but here's #2:

Run Lite Software. This lets one install and remove a number of common Linux applications such as Google Chrome, Java, Catfish File Search, a games pack, Steam, Kodi, Restricted Extras (practically a must-have), Skype, TeamViewer, Tor, VirtualBox, and more...

First, install any updates.

Next, I remove the packages I don't use like GIMP, Thunderbird, and the Virtualbox utils.  Then I install a few things I need like qbittorrent, mtpaint, bleachbit, and calibre.

Then I change the layout and content of the panel.  I do not like big menus so I use the standard menu and get rid of whisker menu.  I then edit the menu to only display what I want to see.

The entire process takes me maybe 20 minutes on a fresh install...

I want to try the Qbittorrent, is it a form of tar.bz , I have been unlucky unpacking tar.bz files so far. I have an account on Bittorent for various things, but have not tried it in LL 2.4.

Qbittorrent is in the repository.  Menu, System , Install/Remove Software. Search for qbittorrent.
