I installed Linux 5 and everything worked out of the box on my system. However at some point after the initial updates to the system, my home network NAS has disappeared from the network folder and I only see "Linus Networt" and Windows Network, neither of which I can log into. Anyone know what has happened and how to fix this?
Thanks

Hi!
If you have another computer, does it see the NAS?
If the sharing is not accessible, is the NAS configuration web page functionning?
A bit more technical, can you "ping" you NAS from the Terminal?
Have you tried accessing it with device name and IP address? i.e. : In case of a DNS problem, that means using the IP address like 192.168.1.100 and not the NAME-OF-YOUR-NAS seen on the network.

Sorry for the slow response. Yes, I have tried all ways to reconnect to the NAS. What I don't understand is why it worked and after the last updates it just disappeared from the network folder. I can connect by web browser and the IP address. I install Ubuntu Mate and a few other distros and no had no issues. I'm stumped.

Hi!
On PC right now so I don't have the package name but I would tried and reinstall Samba.
That is the program that is used to open filesharings.
