Installing on Macboook (2017)
#1
I have been offered several 2017 MacBooks to use with my students in South Africa, however it’s possible they may not come with an iOS. If that is the case I’m unsure that I would pay for  a licence I for each machine as I believe the cost would be around $129 per machine.

I am very use to the ease with which I can load the various 32 bit or 64 bit Linux Lite versions via USB iso which is great. However, after reading the only thread in the forums about putting it on a Mac I’m not sure if it would be without headaches…

Is it possible that it might be easier with these 2017 models..?  :fingerscrossed

Any advice or comments that could help me decide if I should accept this kind offer?

Janet,

I did a search on the Linux Lite hardware DB for "macbook" which found 376 computer configurations.

Maybe see if your potential hardware model(s) is listed.
