From their FaceBook post I figured Quantum would come with version 66. But I will try this on my Win7 mashine.

I do NOT recommend that newbies to Linux try this stuff on your Linux Lite machine! Use the software center, install from our own nice safe repositories. This ain't Windows and you don't have to download from some web site you've never been to before and install stuff from there to your computer. That is patently unsafe practice, especially for newcomers to Linux.
I hope the new Quantum super-duper-ultra-mega Firefox is good, but it's best to wait for it to appear in the repositories, when it's been checked and tested and such.

This software is being mentioned for people who want to try it. You will notice that I DID mention in my original post that it is NOT the release candidate. Your warning is well worth mentioning, and you are correct, Linux is not Windows. The Firefox download comes from MOZILLA. That's the SAME Mozilla that supplies the Firefox in the repository. If you take a look around the forum you'll see that off-site software is mentioned all the time. Linux Lite is an excellent distro for people who are just getting into Linux. But Linux, in general, is also one of the most wonderful things to learn, and try new things. If I couldn't try new things, and learn from my mistakes, I wouldn't use Linux. I'd go back to Windows.

Lower resource usage is a BIG deal for a "light" distro! It's encouraging to read that Mozilla is mindful of that
