I would suggest that, except for those who are doing processor intensive stuff, the main advantage with LL is that you can keep hardware running until the latter fails. No need to buy extra sports car performance to do normal office/home day to day work.
i.e. not be forced to upgrade just so that YOU can keep operating!! OS blackmail IMHO. Therefore the next crop of those for conversion will be the Vista users for whom it will be difficult to obtain genuine Windows 7 for their machines, without running the counterfeit guantlet
