If I'm understanding correctly, you reinstalled LL 2.6 but have backed-up copy of your prior home files.  Did you re-install the Keepboard program to the new install?

If so, did you copy the /home/colin/keepboard folder from your backup to the newly installed 2.6?  I'd imagine if you did then the saved data files for it would then be available.
