Linux Lite 4.0 Suggestions welcomed

I'm with those who say keep it light and simple, and let the user install whatever extra software (s)he wishes.  Keep it light!

My one real concern with anything based on Ubu 18.04 is going to be the new "data collection" feature.  Presumably can be disabled in the installer, but it's on by default.

Can anyone expand on this worrying point: "anything based on Ubu 18.04 is going to be the new "data collection" feature" !!
