- Some work better than others depending on the hardware...
I would try 4.10 and may be even 4.4 (LL3.x ran with this kernel) which is what I run on my mini.
If you've looked through https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sourc...ug/1761751 they're are folks that say 4.13 and older have worked.. Or with Kernel options similar as amdgpu.cik_support=1 radeon.cik_support=0 amdgpu.dc=0

You'll want to ensure there is an Ubuntu 18.04 version..
What version of AMD Radeon are you running may aide with others chiming in...
