[member=6876]elelme[/member] well, about appimage, I am pretty sure that it does not use any backgourd service. Snapd still running all the time I guess, but its not relevant. The only thing sad about snaps for me is that you can't disable automatic updates, just change the time. And about flatpak I have really no clue, but I would guess that yes,it has a background service, but I will wait some confirmation.
