Aside from constantly using ethernet cable, only option for wireless is probably to get a USB dongle. Newegg has plenty of them and you can search through the reviews with keyword "linux" to find out which are best to get. Once you do get connected you can do the conversion -- so you wouldn't have to live with that forever.
