Alrighty, on the LL installed on the HDD, booted into with Legacy mode, and installed updates/boot-repair
I went to GRUB Location tab, separate boot/efi partition was already ticked, and had the correct partition for the EFI in the dropdown, so I clicked apply . However, I got the following error:
Seems like boot-repair doesn't wanna play ball unless I'm already in EFI mode. Not sure how to proceed just yet. Should I try to go ahead as if there were no error, re-enable EFI in the BIOS, and see if both OS's show up?
Booting into legacy went smoothly at least

Quote:The current session is in Legacy mode. Please reboot the computer, and use this software in an EFI session. This will enable this feature. For example, use a live-USB of Boot-Repair-Disk-64bit (www.sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair-cd), after making sure your BIOS is set up to boot USB in EFI mode.
