laptop / W8 / Lite install situation

can't remember exactly where i downloaded lite but i attempted top do it at least once maybe twice thro linux site. mybe my file opener was the pop up problem - FileOpener. if so, i wd seem to have inadvertently libelled you.

so, laptop gets W8 uninstall by microsoft leaving me with a black screen and no response.

i go to my pc to download linux lite onto USB which i do - at 935MB - and get loads of nasty pop ups / toolbar hijackers on my pc in the process.

i plug in USB to my laptop, and nothing. black screen. cursor still there tho nothing else
