Scanning Software Fails To Scan
#1
Hello,

I have an HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M225DW  and today I went to scan a document and it says Failed To Scan - Unable to connect to scanner.

The printer works fine. Why is it that I cannot scan a document?

Please help

Based on this link, it is supported for print and scan for Ubuntu 16.04 based Linux distributions:

You should already have this driver available and installed via the Install/Remove Software repository:

It might behoove you to list how you connected to the printer/scanner and to review the Printers section of the Help Manual, ie. Menu, Favorites, Help Manual.  Maybe removing the printer and reestablishing the printer configuration might help.  Of course, make sure you've run Install Updates, too.
