Not likely, but you can easily replace systemd with upstart once you've installed LL.

I love to get An how to on that. I been really wanting to see if I can really play around with Linux. Is the switching the De doable on Lite too?!

Not tested as far as I know. Do this in a Virtual Machine first to confirm that it works, don't do it on your own system! http://linuxg.net/replace-systemd-with-u...al-flavor/
Please note we DO NOT provide support for switching init systems. You are on your own if things mess up. Our position is we provide an init system (systemd) and that's what we support. Cheers.

De - we cover that question in the Help Manual under Software, Changing Desktop Environments.

I tried it and completely borked my system.  Systemd is an octopus with tentacles in everything!  So many applications depend on it that it's a really bad idea to try removing it from any Ubuntu-based distro.  There are systemd-free Linux distros out there, but none are as simple and full-featured as LL.  I mighht have stuck with SalixOS (systemd-free, Slackware-based - legendary stability and ultra-long term support), but there is no Gnome stuff available in Slackware and it's derivatives at all.
