Aw Snap in Chrome Browser
#1
This has reared its ugly head again while running LL 2.6.

This started about three days ago and yesterday removed chrome from LL 2.6 and reinstalled.

Its still happening.

Grateful for any advice.

Check in Chrome:
Menu > Settings Then Click on "Show Advanced settings" (at end of list)
Scroll down to "System"
uncheck the [ ] "Use Hardware Acceleration when available" if it's checked

Quite a few updates in last few days could have been something in there.

Have done that now.

Seems to be something to do with the browser cache. If you clear the cache it is ok for a while then
locks again.

Thanks Guys.

Cleared the cache again this morning.

Running ok.

Will see how far it gets today.

I have read in a couple of articles that this may be caused by an extension with a memory leak.  If chrome is slowing down this could be the problem.  The following link is about how chrome uses memory. It includes info on chrome's built in task manager which can be opened using [Shift+Esc] key combination. This allows you to easily see what is using more than its share of memory.
