How to control display brightness in 6.2 LL
#1
Having an issue where the brightness on my laptop is at the lowest setting and the F2 and F3 control does not work. This is where they are supposed to be by default.  This is on my HP laptop. Anything would be helpful.

You could try

Right click on menu
Click Panel, then Add New Items
Select 'Power Manager Plugin'
Click Add

This should add a battery icon in the bottom right.

Click on the battery icon and adjust brightness with the slider.

OMG!!! you were right, I didn't even have to add to the menu, it was already there. Didn't think it would control display brightness until you told me this. That is brilliant! Wow learn something new every day.

Thanks.
